Abraham^6 Van Wicklen (Daniel^5, Jacob^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 1 October 1811 and bap. 20 October 1811 Wolver Hollow RDC and married Rebecca Horton (b. 20 May 1814, d. 22 December 1889 [bur. Brookville Cem.]; d/o Garret and Amelia (Denton) Horten) 31 Jun 1833. He died 5 August 1873 (bur. Brookville Cem.) and was living at 239 Court St., Brooklyn, NY at the time. (1850 US Census for Oyster Bay, Queens, NY lists Abraham Van Wicklen, 38, with wife Rebecca Van Wicklen, 35, and Jacob, 16 and Sarah, 13)

Children: Jacob^7 Van Wicklen (b. abt. 1834) L.I., NY. He married Mary Amelia Wood on 26 October 1857, and died 21 November 1904. 1880 census shows Jacob Van Wicklen of Willoughby Ave, Brooklyn with wife Mary A 41, and William H. 18, Fredk A 14, and Edward 10; Sarah^7 Amelia Van Wicklen (b. 20 May 1836), L.I., NY, She married Peter Nostrand on 15 April 1859, and she died 16 September 1917

1870 US Census for 10th Ward, Brooklyn, Kings, NY lists Abram Van Wicklen, 59, milk dealer, b. NY, with wife, Rebecca, 57, keeping house, b. NY. Next door are Peter Nostrand, 40, milk dealer, with wife, Sarah A., 33, keeping house, and Everett A., 9, son, attending school, and John, 8, son, attending school. (Sarah A. is the daughter of Abram and Rebecca)

1880 US Census for Brooklyn, Kings, NY lists Peter Nostrand, 50, milk dealer, with wife, Sarah, 43, and son, Everett, 20, clerk in store, and son, John, 18, clerk in store. Also in this household are Jennie Weeks, 27, boarder, and Rebecca Van Wicklen, 67, mother-in-law. (Abram was deceased by this time.)

Brooklyn Eagle, 24 Dec 1889, Page 3 - Died. Van Wicklen -- Suddenly, Sunday, December 22, Rebecca, wife of the late Abram Van Wicklen, in her 76th year. Funeral service at the residence of her son in law, 381 Union street, Tuesday evening, December 24th, at 7PM. Interment private.
